week 7-Research Background & Problem Statement

Research Background

vUiTM offers college to the student in the campus.

vHowever, the students are requested to attend some activities to ensure themselves get the accommodation for the following semester.

vCurrently, in the college every student, who was attended college activities, will be given a coupon as an evident.

vIn the activity card, what is really important is the number of coupons, which are  representing the number of activity attended by the student.

vThe coupon is used to verify the student's attendance and later to qualify them for their accommodation in next semester.

Problem Statement

Few issues arise from current situation (through interview with administration staff in Melati and Meranti College)

vFake coupon

vNot 100% participation

vCoupon doesn’t reflect attendance

vManual merit calculation

vTime consuming in merit calculation

• Identify the research background and problem statement.
• Prepare questionnaires for administrator college.
• Collect data and flow of the activity college from staff college.
• Discussed the project title with supervisor.
